Case Consultations for Providers & Families
We realize that the traditional medical model leaves a gap— and we are here to answer that calling.
Complex mental health problems can pose a variety of difficulties, both for the treating providers and the families/spouses/loved ones of the patient.
At INSIGHT, we recognize the gap in accessibility to mental health providers for guidance on management, differential diagnoses, and professional advice on how to navigate the mental health system for families and provide support for their loved one.
Case Consultations are typically one (1) hour in length per case and take into account a patient’s symptoms, medication trials, history of treatment, psychosocial history, lived experience, medical history and neurological conditions.
CASE CONSULTATIONS FOR PROVIDERS
We all need each other. The traditional medical model typically lacks resources bridging the interconnectedness between disciplines and fields. At INSIGHT, we recognize the need to consult with others for difficult cases.
What types of Providers are eligible for Case Consultations with INSIGHT?
Family doctors, psychiatrists, therapists, mental health providers in training, internists, and any other medical specialty in which psychiatric concerns and symptoms are affecting clinical care.
In what circumstance(s) would a Provider reach out to INSIGHT?
Despite evidence-based treatments, the client is still not having the desired response or relief from symptoms
Cases where psychiatric diagnosis is questioned or unclear
Cases where management is becoming a challenge for providers and staff
Cases where a Second Opinion may change clinical outcome and management
Please Note
Case Consultations are not a substitute for clinical or medication management, direct medication evaluation, or individual psychotherapy through INSIGHT.
